clogged sinuses

stay gloomy out, long beach. i like the dark clouds, light rain, quiet, and stillness of the people around me. i don't know how many detox herbal tea bags i've gone through. but it's worth stocking up on those tea boxes once in awhile. i hate running out. it's major devastation. it's good to have more. more is more, sometimes.

indian food and chuck e cheese was unexpected last night. we traded the little tickets we won for a green glow-in-the-dark mustache that never ended up glowing and a cobalt blue chuck e cheese head whistle that whistles a little too loudly.

feeling gloomy all around. if i had one extra month this winter break, i would have bought tickets to seattle already. be in another city, another state, and start over for just a couple weeks. yeah, i'm dramatic. as i think in solitude and hear my own loud crunching of the dry organic rice crackers i'm eating, it almost seems normal. except it's not today.

my interests are laying elsewhere. frankly, the tv shows that run on for seasons and seasons just aren't as exciting anymore. or i'm just growing out of a lot of things as i do day by day.

spent the first day of 2014 up in the mountains. today's hike was equivalent to an art studio class-which means it was 2 hrs and 45 minutes, but really three hours, including the last 15 minutes walking back to the parking lot. thinking back, 2013 was good to me. i had just started my art journey around this time last year. starting with that very first shoe drawing from my foundation drawing class, i am at a very different place today. that not meaning that i got advanced, because i am nowhere near advanced, but just meaning i finally got pass the starting line and am on my way to something good. #imjustcornymccornelia

glad that i started 2014 right this morning on my solo hike. wouldn't have spent it any other way. nature treats me best.

happy new year to all.
